Challenging the Standard Model with MOLLER

By the end of the decade several experiments will be able to test the Standard Model with unprecedented precision and potentially reveal signs of physics Beyond the Standard Model. One high profile measurement, in the arena of Fundamental Symmetries, is the determination of the weak mixing angle at low momentum transfer using Møller scattering. In this talk I will present the motivation for pursuing such a measurement and relevant experimental challenges that need to be met. Finally, I will place this measurement in a global context and show its expected impact.
